Finish the Essential Work First

Make a punch list with three categories. Finish the first category before adding new features.

1. required for movement and stability
2. required for presentation
3. optional improvements.

Completion Review

• The intended moving element operates through its demonstrated range.
• The sculpture has an appropriate base, support, or handling method.
• Connections and critical welds are accessible for the instructor’s review.
• Burrs, sharp cut edges, loose components, and unnecessary trip hazards are addressed.
• The operator knows where to stand, what to touch, and how to stop the movement.
• Surface treatment supports the work and the coating is not used to conceal an unresolved connection.
